Sarah Carter, a seventh-year athlete at Colorado State, earned eighth place in the NCAA Division 1 Mountain Regional by covering the 6-kilometer layout in 19:45.9 at the Chaparral Ridge Cross Country Course at Lubbock Christian in Texas. Carter secured her third career appearance at the Division 1 championship meet, but Colorado State placed sixth overall with 159 points and could be left out of the 31-team field Nov. 18 at the NCAA finals at the Panorama Farms Course in Virginia.
